Never Trust a Rainbow on the Amazon River
This article is a feeble attempt to put into words what happened on what I now call my last Sunday in Brazil, but at the time I was calling it my last Sunday. After morning church, I had spent part of the day wandering jungle paths with my camera and my trusty native guide, Logan. Brazil Day One
We spent part of the morning recovering from traveling all day Saturday. In the afternoon, we had a lunch at a nearby restaurant in Manaus. The place was packed. It turns out that Sunday was a holiday in Brazil for “Day of the Woman.” After lunch we traveled to Puraquequara (“Home of the Electric Eel”) where our host family lives. PQ, as they call it, is where the boarding school is for a number of the … Read entire article »
